The Paul Phillips Awards are aimed at developing the key principles of the scholarship - to develop musicians who play the bodhran.

 Awards are made to young players for whom our intervention can bring greatest benefit. This is not about being the best player but is about having the most potential.

There will be a number of different types of awards made under the Paul Phillips Awards to include the main Scholarship award itself . The number and value of the awards is dependent entirely on the amount of money that we raise and the number of people willing to donate their time or their products. We are particularly grateful to Drum makers who offer an instrument and to teachers who have so generously offered their time.

Instrumental Awards - Drums & Drum Accessories.

Training Awards - Fees to allow attendance at bodhran courses.

Minor Awards - Small useful assistances.

Other awards - as may become apparent.
